Allen Bowen is the senior pastor of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. Since 1913, St. Mark has grown and focused on being the light within the community.
Pastor Bowen has a deep passion for transmitting the knowledge of God and his Word through every moment of life. He truly believes in empowering and engaging God's people to be the hands and feet of Jesus outside the four walls of the church. He believes that it is our duty as believers to live out Matthew 28: 18-20, when Jesus said, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Allen and his wife Dawneese have three children and live in Montgomery, Alabama. In addition to leading the congregation at St. Mark, he serves his local community and is known by many as "Coach Bowen." He has over 25 years of coaching experience and has coached many athletes, including the 'three Bowen kids', to state championships and all across the country.
